Steven Thomas Butler, 59, of Vilonia, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Steve was born in St. Louis to Clarence and Sue Butler. He was a Christian in the Pentecostal faith. He served in the U.S. Army in the 10th Mountain Division. He was a Tang Soo Do Martial Artist, and a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed studying genealogy, fishing, and spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. He also spent time taking his family arrowhead hunting, hiking and shooting.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Krystal Goodwin (Josh) of Vilonia and Stephanie Hantz (Josh) of Conway; two brothers, Allen Butler of Houston, Mo., and Mike Butler of Walnut Ridge; one sister, Peggy Butler-Taylor of Black Rock; two grandchildren, Kyra Goodwin of Vilonia, and Kayla Hantz of Conway; his best friend, Terry Hall of Conway; as well a host of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Kimberly Butler.

Visitation was Saturday, Jan. 9, from 5-7 p.m. at Vilonia Funeral Home, with cremation following.

The family will announce a memorial service at New Life Gospel Church in Black Rock at a later date.
