Vera Nadine Britton, 79, of Ravenden, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born June 6, 1941, in the Fontaine community of Arkansas to Hubert Smith and Delma Wicker Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family and taking care of others. She was a certified nurse assistant as well as a private caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Britton; brothers, Bill Smith, Ernest Smith, Carrol Smith and Walter Smith.

She is survived by daughter, Velta (Johnny) Waters; son, Robert Britton; brother, Joe Smith; six grandchildren, Leah Debrine, Robbie Britton, Daniel Waters, Tommy Britton, Angel Peraza and Nicholas Britton; 11 great-grandchildren, Johnny, Emma, Bella, Jordan, Parker, Kinsey, Kaylee, Elias, Paige, Carson and Gerald; daughter-in-law, Rose Britton; brothers-in-law, Dale Britton and Truman (Jessie) Britton; sisters-in-law, Ellen Smith and Ruth Smith; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 11, at Old Military Cemetery at Sedgwick with Randall Britton officiating. House-Gregg Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
