William Henry Lawson, 71, of Porter, Texas, died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at his residence.
He was born April 24, 1949, in Powhatan, to Henry Ford Lawson and Julia Herring Lawson. He lived in Sydney before moving to Texas. He served his country in the Army. He was an electrician by trade and attended New Hope Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Julia; brother, Randy Smith; sister, Kaye Sisk; and niece, April Noell.
Bill is survived by his son, William Todd (Tina) Lawson of Porter, Texas; sister, Lesa (Rick) Gramling of Stanford; brothers, Terry (Mary) Lawson of Lynn, Gary (Judy) Lawson of Eaton, and Sandy (Virginia) Smith of Cave City; grandchildren, Kenzie Lawson, Hailie Lawson, Mary Margaret Mullen, Gracie Lawson, Garrett Todd Lawson, Camille Barkley, Kristin Tuggle, Hunter Crow, Meagan Wixson, Cooper Crow, Addison Crow and Corbin (Swag) Crow; great-grandchildren, Zeke, Mishka, Malachi and Parker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was Friday, Jan. 8, from 5-7 p.m. at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Graveside services were Saturday, Jan. 9, at Old Lebanon Cemetery in Eaton with Byron Griffey officiating.
Those chosen for the honor of being pallbearers were Todd Lawson, Ralph Miller, Jeff Malone, Travis Otwell, Brian Richey, Joey Huckabee, Henry Holeman and Miranda Gramling. Honorary pallbearers were Garrett Lawson, Cooper Crow and Corbin Crow.
