Zachary Ryne Barton, 28, of Walnut Ridge, passed away suddenly June 21, 2020.

Born Dec. 9, 1991, in Fayetteville, he was the son of James Barton and Stacy Martz. He was united in marriage to Elaina Pankey on Oct. 4, 2014. He was a previous deputy for the Lawrence County Sheriffs Office and an active duty patrolman for the Jonesboro Police Department. He loved the ocean, playing video games, and spending time with his family and little girls.

Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lloyd Martz.

Survivors include his wife, Elaina of the home; two daughters, Zoey and Hannah; his father, James (Arlene) Barton of Springdale; his mother, Stacy Martz of Saffell; one sister, Tori Barton of Saffell; a paternal grandfather, Everett Barton of Fayetteville; a maternal grandmother, Pamela Martz of Salem; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Friday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral was Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m. at the church with Bro. Keith Marlin and Bro. Deshawn Pankey officiating. Interment was in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Nathan Pankey, Jacob Trinidad, Ryan Pfitzner, Ryan Huskey, Blake Simmons and James Harrison.
