Walnut Ridge High School senior Hailey Jensen has committed to continue her cheer career at Williams Baptist University.
Jensen signed her commitment with the competitive cheer squad on Monday during a ceremony held at the WRHS Library.
In addition to her athletic scholarship, she also received an academic scholarship and plans to pursue a degree in early education.
Jensen has cheered at WRHS for three years, and served as manager for a year, as well. She was named most spirited her sophomore year.
WBU cheer coach Emily Wisby welcomed Jensen on behalf of the university.
“We’re excited to have Hailey,” she said.
Jensen is the daughter of Alicia Ervin of Walnut Ridge and the granddaughter of Lisa Bucknell of Walnut Ridge.
