The Williams Baptist University wrestling squad defeated Missouri Baptist and fell to Lindsey Wilson at the tri-match hosted by Missouri Baptist on Saturday.

The Eagles faced off against Lindsey Wilson in the first dual of the day. The Eagles won in the 174-lb. class when Isaiah Sellers defeated his opponent in a 9-6 decision, and also in the 285-lb. class when Demaceo Whittier defeated his opponent by a fault. The Blue Raiders were victorious in all the other matches.

In the second dual of the day for the Eagles, they faired much better against the Spartans. The Eagles won every match except for two. Robert Fairchild defeated his opponent by a 6-2 decision in the 133-lb. class. In the 141 lb class, Johnny Baldwin defeated his opponent by 7-5 decision.

Isaiah Vizcarrondo (149-lb.) and Alzarius Boykins (157-lb.) both won by default. Sellers (174-lb.) and Daryus Webb (184-lb.) both won by faults. For the 197-lb. class, Kendrick Gordon won by default, and in the 285-lb. class Whittier won by a fault.

The Eagles’ wrestling is next in action on Dec. 15 when they travel to the Missouri Valley Duals in Marshall, Mo.
